Another New Shooter

Sixgun Seamus

Recommended Posts

I have some guns that have been waiting for my grandkids to start shooting. Well, today that finally happened.  My youngest grandson joined us today for his first cowboy shoot. He is 8 years old and chose the name of Zeke Morgunz. I worked with him in the back yard on safety and proper gun handling and decided he was ready for the real thing. He has been a brass rat at a match already and knew what we ddid. He used a Marlin 94 in .38, 2 Cimarron  Lightnings in .38 and a Stoeger 12 gauge. The stocks were shortened for him. I'm proud to say he did quite well and impressed the other shooters. He had a great time and didn't shoot anyone. He had a few misses with the handgun but was spot on with the rifle and shotgun. No procedurals or safeties. He had a little trouble breaking the shotgun but we'll work on that. Gotta get him joined up now. 20241109_125600.thumb.jpg.f27276b18cf8a97eaacb06503f531791.jpg

Welcome Zeke! Well done SS, he will be a fine addition to any posse!

This was an inside shoot so we had to go down range and tape the holes, Zeke was the first one down there to help. I’m sure Kay and Seamus are very proud of this fine young boy! 🤠

Howdy, Seamus,

Zeke is impressive.  Bring him anytime!

I hope he had fun with us; he sure fit right in.

Wait 'til he shoots outside with the plate racks, flyin' birds, flyin' bottles, and a hotel!

He might really be smilin' that day!
