2025 Georgia State SASS Championship

Announcing the 2025 Georgia State SASS Championship – Stampede At South River. 

 

Fast Eddie and the folks at the South River Gun Club in Conyers GA cordially invite everyone to come on to Georgia and shoot with us at the 2025 Georgia State SASS Championship. You can find match information on the state match website located here.

 

The match will be held Friday May 16th thru Saturday May 17th. The first 5 stages of the main match will be shot on Friday and the remaining 5 stages and awards will be held on Saturday.  Side Matches and the Georgia State Black Powder match will be held on Thursday May 15th.

 

In lieu of a banquet, we will have an awards ceremony on Saturday evening. Along with upgraded awards, we will also be providing lunch to all registered shooters on Friday and Saturday. You will have your choice of entree from the club house snack bar.

 

There are 52 camping spaces with electric and water hookups on the range and there are several hotels located about 12 miles from the range in Conyers at exit 82 off I-20.

 

The match director is Fast Eddie, and the stages are written by Charley Reno and Max Payne.

We are 2 months out from the GA State Championship.  We have about 115 registered shooters already.  If you plan on shooting this match please send in your applications soon so that we can get all of the awards ordered in time. There are 4 stages in the Wild Bunch match.  It'll take 80 pistol, 40 rifle and 24 shotgun.  It would be wise to bring some extra in case you have to reshoot a stage.  The stages were written for 5 round magazines.  Cardboard Cowboy wrote the stages so you know they will be fast and easy to shoot.  I'm looking forward to it.

Hey Kajun

It was nice to meet you at Alabama State and get to shoot with you during the BP side match.    This will be my first time shooting in Georgia and will be my 31st State to shoot Cowboy Action.    OK the list of shooters posted has 126 shooters and is dated 3/31, so how about an updated list showing the 171 shooters.
