I've benefitted many times by the quiet words of my Godly wife: she was overlong getting ready to go vote, and by the time she followed the fine example of our esteemed Pat Riot and spoke like a pirate 😁, the noontime luncheon was already underway: when we came to the roundabout on our line of march, there were red-and-blues on either side, traffic was backed up, I took a fast detour and nearly missed a stop sign I'd stopped at a thousand times. Not even a close call but not seeing it until the last moment scared me, it genuinely did. My bride took my hand and suggested we eat locally instead of clear up in the county seat. So -- instead of ham and beans, or ham sandwiches, or beenie weenies, she had a chicken quesadilla and I had a bacon cheeseburger, and a truly excellent dark blend of coffee! Erp! I thought you said the stitches was in your baseball ...... 🙃 Tuesday was the day that my doc changed treatments and she sewed the open wound on my foot closed to help with the last bit of healing. It made Tuesday a lot better!! A couple of other things happened that day as well!! It rained substantially for the first time in nearly a month, (we’d had a shower or two and occasionally some sprinkles) so the dust has settled and the grass is greener! I got my quarterly blood testing done so that I won’t have to worry with that for the rest of the year! Then, late Tuesday afternoon, something that we’re apparently not allowed to discuss, (there was another innocuous thread recently removed that hinted at the same event) happened that quite possibly made the vast majority of folks on this forum the happiest they have been in several years, as a group!!
