The guy with the paintball gun was an idiot.

 

Having said that, if I was the guy with the paintball gun, and that guy tried to come over the fence at me, I would have shot him a few more times. If he's throwing rocks at me, again I would have shot him a few more times.

In Arizona it's a crime to remove campain posters on someone else property, sooooo.....maybe 15 seconds after I shot him I'd dial 911 and let the LEOs take it from there.

I remember back in 16. This guy is driving down the road and he's got his phone set up somehow so it is both recording his face and it's recording what the car is pointed at.

 

So there he is driving down the road and up ahead he sees somebody with Trump signs in their yard. And he left the road and ran over the signs, and then drove back on the road and drove off laughing. Ho ho ho ho. Boy that was such fun.

 

And then he posted it on Facebook.

 

And they came and arrested his ass.

Posting the recording of you committing the crime on social media for the entire world to see?

Mmmm . . . let's see.

 

The shooter blasted the guy directly in the face, but the guy was wearing eye protection. Okay, sunny day, plausible.

 

But after the guy got blasted in the face, he did not react with his hands going up to his face -- he just flailed his arms around.

 

Plus two POV cameras just happening to be recording. One was the camera on the barrel of the gun, obviously, but the location of the camera behind the sign-stealer was blurred out.

Social Media has empowered a lot of these idjits. They say things online that would earn them a punch in the nose if they said it to the right someone's face. They become emboldened and this is the result. they also feel it's "ok" to trespass, damage property because Trump is bad or some other such nonsense so they rationalize their improper conduct because "Trump's a nazi" or some other such crap which is supposed to make it ok.

 

As for the paintball guy, even though it wasn't "a firearm" I believe it would be at the minimum, misdemeanor assault with a good chance they'd raise it to felony weight. I don't condone that sort of conduct either. Either act within the law or suffer the consequences.

It's NOT a paintball gun either. Shoot someone in the face with a paintball at that distance and they'll need a trip to the ER. Paintballs up close will definitely leave bruises and possibly break the skin. In the face at point blank range they could even be lethal. 

 

Looks more like a potato cannon but the projectile was not a potato. My guess is something like pudding.

 

Notice that whatever was pushed out the barrel some of it was left on the fence and it went everywhere.
