She already had the .410 clean, and so she used her 20g. Here in VA it's not unusual for a woman to have multiple gauges in her posession at once .410, 16, 12, 28, 20, 10.........and if she's hefty, maybe an 8...... We like to protect our lives, property and neighbors with a myriad of gauges and calibers. Keeps 'em guessing. Actually, I figured that she told the story, and then somebody made a video and added the story to it. I really seriously doubt that on the day that she shot the drone she just happened to have someone videoing her as she cleaned her shotguns. And the guy that made the video either didn't know the difference between 410 and 20, or figured nobody else would know the difference, and who cares - a shotgun shell is a shotgun shell. Kind of like the sound people that when you pick up a double barrel shotgun you can hear a pump being racked. The people making the video are stupid, or they figure the people seeing it or stupid, or they really don't care one way or the other. And I was basically making a joke. As you say, the video is just a follow on to an amusing story, done by someone who wouldn't know a shotgun from a Winchester '

She said she was cleaning her shotguns. She never said which one she used to bust that bird. You saw the 20 gauge shells, she but never said which gun she used. Maybe she has a 10 gauge monster magnum goose gun..........or a 4 bore punt gun. 1

Alpo
That would probably work if the camera recorded to a drive on the camera. You shoot the drone down and the camera is with the downed drone. But I think everything records to the cloud nowadays. So even though you would have the downed drone and the camera, the video of you shooting the drone down would be out there.
watab kid
it would seem to me that the drones might be an invasion of privacy thing on private property , to me that might open up the consideration of the castle doctrine , while ive not had an invasion of drones on my property id be very upset if i did and yes - might consider shooting it down then dealing with the aftermath came back to note that ive no objection to the aircraft rulings and such but they need to consider what is reality - an aircraft is different than the neighbors drone spying on my daughter thru her bedroom window ......at least i still see it that way , im never goinf to shoot at an aircraft , i actually have a lot of aircraft - hospital rescue and military over the house daily , ikm on the mississippi flyway and close to a hospital so i got no issue with aircraft , i see mostly helicopters here Edited November 5 by watab kid

I have no trouble with aircraft. I grew up in a landing pattern. If the wind was from one direction the Air Force landed their planes over my house. If the wind was from the other direction the airport landed their planes over my house. And I wouldn't care about a drone, if it was flying over my backyard at 15,000 feet. But 15 feet is a different story.

Ozark Huckleberry
The rationalizing on how shooting down a drone could be justified reminds me a lot of the advice to drag a trespasser into your house after you shot him. Sedalia Dave
Few people consider that when you shoot into the air you have very little control over where the bullet(s) or shot will land. Even if you hit the drone do you really know where the projectiles will land?
