John Kloehr
Don't get trick-or-treaters here, so I'm just hanging out at home as a law-abiding open carrier. Back when I was in suburbia, my favorite outfit for answering the door was Waldo. Runner up favorite was Woody.

Wonder why they couldn't have just left it with him playing from the 30s?

Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
Over 120 kids (and some not so small!) It's warm here for a change, at Halloween, and a couple of young girls showed up dressed pretty scantily! If I was a REAL dirty old man, I'd have invited them in for a drink!!!

Alpo
Does Bo Peep look pregnant to you? It might just be that Empire waistline, but she appears to have a bulge, to me.

Never, never ask that question. I asked a client when her baby was due. She wasn't pregnant. I still get chills remembering that.
Alpo
Many years ago. I did route sales. One of my stores, I arrived right at shift change. So the two women talked for a while and then the manager left. And I walked over to Barbara, and I said, "snicker snicker, is Tracy pregnant or is she just getting exceedingly fat?" And Barbara looked at me for a moment and said, "Tracy got her tubes tied 3 years ago". Glad I asked Barbara that question and not Tracy. Rip Snorter
Funniest Halloween I can recall years back was having a Halloween Party, probably 25 or so guests. All Martial artists. LEO and Wives or SO, some of those Martial Artists and LEO as well. Some guys came up to the door, banged on it and broke the pumpkins. The house emptied. Definition of fast - they may have left skidmarks in the grass leaving.

Abilene Slim SASS 81783
Thanks for the clarification. 😊 Mine is a lot rattier now after years of CAS, plus, I changed out the “rope” band it originally had, which included a small feather. It’s the rope band and brim diameter on your girlfriend’s that got my attention. I have a number of hats, but this is my go-to hat with its black powder stains and a moth hole or two. The rattier it gets, the more I love it. The sweat band is cracked, but I’m not sure where how to replace it.

He visited the Prince Of The Pistoleers match hosted by the Powder Creek Cowboys in Lenexa, Kansas, on a day when I was shooting a pair of 1851 Navies, many years ago. I like to think I had something to do with attracting him to the dark side. His taste in hats matches mine by coincidence. Or perhaps just inherently excellent taste. 1 1

Glenda's was a SS Uberti P Jr. with the cylinder zip tied to prevent it from rotating and securely tied in the holster with a leather strap. I love those boots too. In addition to the brown pair, I have 2 pair of black ones. One of the black pair needs some serious repair. I need to get off my butt and take them to a real cobbler to be rebuilt. Rye Miles #13621
One year I was playing in a band and we decided to dress up. I went as a cowboy as I was just getting into cowboy shooting. I put a cap gun in my holster (I just wore one) no one even questioned me if it was real or not! Alpo
Back in the late seventies I was a security guard. Florida has two types of guards - armed guard and unarmed guard. Armed guards cost more. So while our boss had an armed license, all of the rest of us for unarmed. And we would wander around with our stick and our handcuffs on our Sam Browns. Except Fred. Fred had a holster on his Sam Brown, with a cap pistol in it. I have heard of places where they have unarmed guards, but they appear to be armed, as they are wearing rubber duckies in a holster. I don't know if I would have done it back then but I know I would not do it now. If the bad guy sees I have a gun, there's a 50/50 chance that he will run off, but there is also a 50/50 chance he will shoot me. So if I'm carrying a gun, it's going to be real when it's going to be hot. I want to be able to shoot back.

bgavin
We went as a senior couple who stayed home and passed out (and sampled) candy while binge watching LOST. My bride posted a blurb on Facebook that there was a house on Banksia Court passing out full size candy bars. My #2 daughter does this every year.. decorates the house and yard, then presents a display platter of full size bars for the picking. She did over 200 kids last night. We had a high of 160, now down to 35.
