I've never shot WarTrace, so I'm asking for any advice you Cowboys and Cowgirls will give.

What is the best hotel?  Anything else I need to know ?

Thanks in advance, and see you there !

You are in for a treat! When we don’t camp we usually get an airBnB, but plenty of good hotels in Tullahoma and/or Manchester.

12 stages btw.

Yep, we stayed there in 2022, Scarlett arranges it so we got our room, so I’d suggest contacting her first.

It’s just around the corner from the banquet hall. We had some friends visit from Florida and played music all afternoon on Friday. Tons of fun, Widder even joined in and picked a little geetar.

We stay at an AirBnB in Bell Buckle as well. 10-15 minutes from the range and walking distance to the banquet.

My advice is bring something to mix with the whisky you will win (unless you prefer it straight). Be there Friday night when the door prizes are handed out and buckle up for one of the funnest, best run matches you will ever attend.

It's out in the middle of nowhere. There are two entrances, one for each parking lot. Either one is good. Great vendors on site and they have a food truck. Leave some extra time on each end of your trip to see local sights. Just be ready for great people and a great match. Make sure you eat at the Bell Buckle Cafe on one night. Plan on staying late Friday at the range for the best prize giveaway in all of cowboy.

If you are allergic to a chicken foot you better stay home.

@Krazy Kajun are you going, and are you camping?  where ?

I'm planning on going and if so I'll be camping with the rest of the miscreants at the Tennessee Walking Horse Celebration in Shelbyville, TN.

must be an inside joke, i don't understand.

I might rent an RV if I don't get mine in time.

Camping seems closer to the range than the hotels.

One of the campgrounds became Lake Krazy after a heavy rain a few years ago.

The hotels are a bit far away.

The hotels in Shelbyville and Tullahoma are an easy approx. 20-minute drive to the range. Both towns have plenty of options for meals etc. Some Air BNBs will get you closer to the range, but they get hard to find if you do not jump on them quick. If you are camping the above referenced campground in Shelbyville will land you with a bunch of new friends and fellow shooters. The Bell Buckle Cafe is a must experience meal so definitely add it to the to-do list. If you have extra time, do the tours at the Jack Daniels Distillery and the Hat Manufacturer in Manchester, TN.

Another camping option is Barton Springs Campground part of the TVA. It's about 15-20 minutes from range and at least half a dozen cowboys camp there including myself. There is a permanent lake there.:D

That’s where we’ve stayed the last two years. Nice place!

All I have to say are weird chicken feet curses and toothpicks.

TW is usually a Posse Marshal and has several request to be on his posse. I didn’t really notice any extra chickens feet on the range last year. I think KK’s voodoo and TW’s hoodoo may have collided and canceled each other out? 😂🤠🤠

I hear tell ole TW has been genetically mutating chickens now that are 3 legged in hopes of getting more chicken feet per chicken.  Only problem is that with 3 feet them chickens are so fast ole TW can't catch them. 🐔🐔🐔😎

There should be many graduates of the World Famous Sawyer Shooting School at the match.

@T-Square you most assuredly should attend Sawyer's shooting school if it's being offered and he usually does offer it at the TN matches. It'll make you a more rounded cowboy and give you a life experience most never had the pleasure of receiving.

I, too, am honored to say that Kay and I are proud graduates of the Sawyer Shooting School. (At Tennessee State, I might add) It is an experience not to be missed.

This totally makes sense. A power couple like Seamus and Kay are Graduates of the Sawyer Shooting School!

Sign me up and add this to my list of experiences not to be missed !

I'd bring my wife too - but it's better for me that she doesn't handle firearm.  We've been married 25 years - I'd hate for it to end so quickly !  😝
