Scarlett Posted October 30 Share Posted October 30 (edited) My FIRST official duty as a new member of the Jedi Council was to bestow the title of Jedi Gunfighter of the YEAR 2024 upon @Possum Skinner, SASS#60697 at Hot Lead, the Lousiana State Championship! Possum Skinner is a MOST worthy recipient. He’s an outstanding shooter, cowboy, gunfighter and friend. His years of service on the Jedi Council are deeply appreciated. @Widder, SASS #59054 was going to do it after Thanksgiving but I used The Force to convince him to let me do it this past weekend! Being recognized as JEDI GF of the Year doesn't just mean that someone had a good year in SASS but rather an accumulation of 'Service and Achievements' in SASS and the Gunfighter category. And that's where Possum has excelled. He started shooting SASS in 2004. He is a member of the Up The Creek Gang in Louisiana, AND... Orange County Regulators in Texas. He is currently a Board Member and Territorial Governor for the Up The Creek Gang, of which he has also served as President on 3 separate occasions. Possum is a SASS Regulator. He has won multiple Louisiana State and Southwest Regional Gunfighter Championships, along with Frontier Cartridge Gunfighter Championships. He's won overall (Top Gun) at Hot Lead, Hellfire, and Tin Star Ranch annual matches. He was the World Champion Gunfighter in 2010. And this year, 2024, he is the Frontier Cartridge Gunfighter 'National Champion'. Congratulations POSSUM. The JEDI GF of the YEAR recognition is well deserved and SASS members everywhere should be proud of your service and achievements. I'm proud to call Possum......
