I would have taken her up on her offer to have a roll in the hay (Young Frankenstein). One of my all-time favorite movies!

This is sad. I always liked her in the parts she played. My wife met her and saw her numerous times in the 80’s. My wife was a nurse and worked for Ms Garr‘s doctor. Routine stuff. I never met her, but would have loved to.

Rest In Peace, Teri Garr :(

A very talented lady. Always thought of her as super sweet. Almost too nice to be in Hollywood.

Everything from Star Trek to Mr. Mom, and definitely don't leave out Young Frankenstein! Very sad news.

She played Richard Dreyfus' wife in Close Encounters of the Third Kind a lot of people don't remember her role in that movie. RIP Teri Garr🥲

Also in Let It Ride, a delightful sleeper of a movie about having a good day at the horse track.  Teri Garr, Jennifer Tilly, Robbie Coltrane, David Johanson...worth the time if you haven't already.

i liked her as well , i didnt realize she was 4-5 years older than me , i always thought of her as that nubile young thing in the movie ....funny how time causes these lapses in memory , but i can say that of so many beautiful girls in TV or movies that are now gone , i just remember them as i saw them then ,

now that m thinking about it thats how i remember all the girls in my life , wonder .........would i be surprised to see them now ? most likely but then i think they might not think much of me either

Most of the girls I knew didn't think much of me then.

im sure that would be my case as well , but i was never told that to my face - save one - she was quite outspoken , then she realized i was not the guy that she thought she was talking to [i had a guy in my class that looked a  lot like me, more than one person pointed it out - she made it clear with a slap] but i survived and persevered ,  havent had that happen since , sure she would cxhuckle at it as i do today , bit at the time she was really mad ,

she was quite cute , wished we had met under different circumstances but such is life , there was no point in me asking her out after she had slapped me ...i already knew what i would be in for
