Colorado Coffinmaker
Hy Ya TL Couple Lustrum ago, I searched hi and lo for a good Hammer Double in 10Ga. All I could find at the time were Damascus guns of dubious lineage and at best so/so quality. Then I found out how much it was going to cost to feed the thing. I did find a Box Lock that weighed a TON. Cut it back to 20 inch barrels and it still weighed a TON. Sole'd it on right quick.

Jackson Haller
My Pard did also; a modern made hammered double barrel 10g made by Bernadelli!
Blackwater 53393
1889 Remington 10ga hammer SxS for me! I pull it out when I want to really make some smoke and noise! The barrels were damaged at 23”, so it’s now got 22” barrels and it still weighs half a ton. The breech looks like a two hole artillery piece and there’s no bluing left on it!! I shot the entire Ohio State match with it a few years ago. On two separate stages, I missed all four targets with the shot, but the concussion knoced them over. I have witnesses to prove it! (Insert demonic laughter here) YOU SHOULD’A SEEN WHAT IT DID TO THOSE DAMNED CHICKENS AT COMIN’ATCHA’!!! (more evil chuckles here) Edited October 27 by Blackwater 53393
Chantry
I have a London made I. Hollis & Sons hammered 10 gauge that I've shot at a SASS match on rare occasions. As Warden mentioned above, it adds a LOT of time to your score. I generally shoot a modern Spanish hammerless 10 gauge loaded heavy (1.5 ozs of shot & 120 grains of 1F or 2F) at annual matches. PaleWolf Brunelle, #2495L
My only 10 gauge is a New Baker hammered SxS w/30" bbls. (I'd need to go to the gym for a month or so to be able to shoot it in a match!) This 12 ga. 1889 Gr2 Remington works just fine for Trap & Clays, though! (also 30" barrels) Same model SxS I learnt to shoot critters with in my teen years (loaned to me by a friend's Pa...kept it in my locker at school)

Rip Snorter
Looks like what used to be called a punt gun - in many cases a commercial game getter.
