Outlaw Gambler
They sell 9mm speed loaders for rifle and pistol mags. Thinking of getting one or two but want to check to see if they are legit. They accept credit cards only, which I think is smart, but do not show location or address. I have added a link for you inspection. Thanks. Eyesa Horg
A brief search came up with "Scam detector" giving them a 58% rating and this was on Reddit: Avoid the Tacnation speed loader (poorly made ETS clone) So I saw an Instagram ad for a speed loader I had never seen a couple weeks ago, and it looked awesome. Loads a 10rd mag in ~5 seconds with ease, perfect for the range. I saw comments on the ad that said good things, so I bought it. Week and a half later I get it, and it doesn’t work. Reached out to the company via email about refund/replacement, but I think I’m gonna do a refund because the more I look into this company the more I see it’s just a poorly made clone of the ETS CAM loader (which actually works). They even use a photo of the ETS CAM loader on their main instagram page. I also found this YouTube video that perfectly describes the issue: filled with comments of people that have the exact same issue: https://youtu.be/a8tkigop8VY?si=0hEHpVqoEwc4mR0j - I’ll post my own sometime soon. Long story short: go with ETS, save yourself the hassle (and some money). I found out that these multi-round speed loaders require significant force. Edited October 24, 2024 by McCandless
Sedalia Dave
I have the UpLULA magazine loader and love it. With their adapter it works on single stack 1911 mags as well as double stack magazines. Not as fast as the ETS Cam Loader but it easily fits into my cart for WB and in my small range bag for practice days. https://www.maglula.com/product/uplula/ One down side to the ETS loader is it is designed to work with rounds in factory boxes. Being as 99% of the 45 ACP I shoot are reloads and almost all the 9mm I shoot is bought in bulk, it doesn't look like it would really speed up the process that much.

Don't know anything about TACNATION - USA. However The UpLula work great for all of my mags 9mm and over. I tried looking for their address through their webpage and got zilch. In doing a search I found their Facebook link that says they’re in Salt Lake City. https://m.facebook.com/trytacnation/ ——————————————- I found this: CONTACT US Live Customer Support Chat Hours: 9:00am to 10:00pm 📧 info@trytacnation.com Salt Lake City, Utah. Here: https://1d5ab4-3.myshopify.com/products/tacnation ———————————————- I cannot find a physical address for them. They are not listed in the BBB. This doesn’t mean they aren’t legit, but it sure is odd. If I wouldn’t have found positive info on this company I wouldn’t buy from them either. I would contact them through their webpage and ask for their physical address.
Outlaw Gambler
Thanks Pat, Not being able to find that info put up a red flag so I think I will take a look at the ETS and upLULA. Thanks to everyone else for your input.
Jen
I have been trying for over a week to get in touch with them in any manner other than email because my tracking number shows that my products were delivered 10 days ago, but when I write them to tell them that I never received the product, I get an automated response and they tell me just to reach out to the post office. First of all, if Tacnation was a legitimate company, they would probably use FedEx or UPS so that their product was not only guaranteed but warranted so that they could get their money back if it was lost in transit. Secondly, I’ve never worked with a company that didn’t have a phone number on their website and are this difficult to get in touch with. As of now, I have no product, no refund, and no straight answers from them. Plus their website is trash in my opinion… So I would say be cautious if you buy anything on a credit card and make sure you can get your money back if your product doesn’t ever arrive!! JAMTANN
I located your comments regarding TACNATION moments after I requested a Return Authorization Number. The 9mm/.40 assembly failed miserably when attempting to use with my Browning Hi Power, Springfield Armory XD, and Beretta FDS 9mm handguns. I feed a single round into the loader by hand studied the alignment vis-a-vis the magazines. This is not going to work. I cannot find either a phone number for customer service or a mailing. I expect I will have to file a "fraud" chargeback with my credit card provider If TACNATION does not cooperate. 1
John Kloehr
Welcome to the forum. I took a look at the company. While not finding a clear proof of scam, I found the web server is hosted in Canada. I found no information for the company in Salt Lake City, Utah. The closest I found was a reference to a Tacnation company as a job shop for HVAC technicians, but could not find proof of that either. Even more concerning is if you get a response and get an RMA, and send the product back, the web site asks to allow two billing cycles for a credit to show on your statement. I think this likely falls outside of your allowed dispute window.

John Kloehr
When visiting the tacnation site, I grabbed a random item and put it in the cart, then went to the cart to see it the site takes actual credit cards. What came up was my "shop" account information which does have an expired credit card on file. I can say with an additional click, the site does appear to take credit cards "directly" rather than only through a payment service (Apple, Zelle, PayPal). While cash apps would not be a deal killer for a site not selling guns and ammo, lack of direct card payments is a classic marker of scam sites for those selling guns and ammo. But then a surprise! I'm already getting emails from tacnation, and I did not create an account. Not too worried as I can throw them in a folder with a filter. Or even the trash directly. And my mail is set up to not show remote content unless I allow it so the site will never get verification the address is valid. Clicking unsubscribe would give this information. Visitors to that site beware. Maybe not a scam, maybe just a crappy product, but I sure do not like the marketing method as I did not opt in for email communication.
