Having just shot with this young man on our posse at land run. And knowing that he only shoots Lasiter tuned lightning rifles. He’s got everything covered. We had a lot of fun shooting with him, great young man. Probably the fastest lightning shooter. I have come across to this date.

This is TJ Casino.  I have a very fine American Western Arms Lightning in 38 special.  If the 357 is not a must this is a fine rifle.

Thank you for your response, 38 special is what I would run anyway so that would be fine. What is the barrel length and the price you would be looking for?

The barrel lengh is 20 inches.  I would say the condition is about 98%.  This rifle had an action job by the president of American Western Arms back in the day.  If you clean the action after every match you will never have any trouble.  I am asking 1100 dollars plus shipping and FFL fees.  That was 75 bucks last year.

That sounds like a pretty good deal, 20 in is not the most ideal but I could deal with it.

Do you have a picture or 2 i could see?

Sorry about the late reply working third shift right now. Looks really good, final question I have is whether it slam fires or not?

I never had a slam fire.   After a hundred rounds or so I would take the stock off and clean the heck out of the action.  I would also use a fancy lube.  If you don't do this the gun will jam.  I never had the rifle stop in competition after I learned the above procedure.

What i mean to ask is, if you hold the trigger and work the action does the hammer fall? Like an 1897 shotgun. The original colts and the taurus I'm used to do this and that's how I shoot it instead of separate trigger presses every time.

Sorry for the delay, i have found a guy with a lightning with a 26 in barrel that I'm working out deal on. Another person has expressed interest in getting a lightning and I've directed him to contact you TJ. Best of luck with everything.

Tried to send you a PM but the system states that you are unable to receive.  Can you please PM me your phone #?  I’d like to visit with you about your lighting.  Thx.
