J-BAR #18287 Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Our daughter in law has never seen Young Frankenstein. Until tonight. It never gets old! Genius. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072431/
Abilene Slim SASS 81783 Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 That and Blazing Saddles were made back to back and released in less than a year apart. Two of the most hilarious and brilliant movies EVER!
Rip Snorter Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 I often wonder what other classics Wilder would have delivered if his wife Gilda Radner hadn't died. Kind of blew out his flame.

Calamity Kris Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 I have the 4K, BlueRay version of Young Frankenstein on order. Can't wait for it to arrive. That sounds like a fun Halloween evening, actually. Chicken "Fingers", tater tots and some home made Halloween gummi's for dessert, while watching the movie. Unfortunately, it is slated to be here after Halloween. Oh well.
bgavin Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 I am so envious. I cannot find the 4k version anywhere. Enjoy!

bgavin Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 Yep. Not 4k, but Blu-Ray The BD copy is excellent. Review is here: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Young-Frankenstein-Blu-ray/1092/
irish ike, SASS #43615 Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 if people haven't seen the original Frankenstein movie from the 30's they won't get the parody played in Young Frankenstein. Still way funny though. Gene Hackman as the blind man hosting Frankenstein.

Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 One of the most hilarious movies ever made. I don't personally like any of the others you listed. Never saw anything about Blazing Saddles that was worth seeing.
