Pat Riot
Not to be “that guy”, but I wouldn’t believe it until I saw it. Once made it’ll probably take 6 months before most folks see it on their store shelves or online. 4

Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
Typical business ploy. Never tell your customers you have discontinued a product if you can string them along to believe it may become available in the future. Otherwise that customer will start looking for another vendor and a replacment product. I will believe Trail Boss and Clays are available again when I see them on the shelves of the local retailers. Reminds me of some magazine publishers that keep accepting subscriptions and renewals even though they know they are declaring bankruptcy in a few weeks. 3 1
Oak Ridge Regulator
If the dam fools would make more trail boss they would sell more trail boss. Pretty hard to get good sales figures if you have nothing to sell. I agree with Larsen. Typical business ploy
Cold Lake Kid, SASS # 51474
I took advantage of ADI's "Contact Us" feature and asked about TB production. Maybe we should all give them a nudge??
bgavin
There is no sense among bean counters. I remember when the computer system board makes decided to use CCS (cheap Chinese... stuff) for capacitors instead of the premium Rubicon Japanese products. They figured they would save a few pennies per board. Then, they lost millions in class action lawsuits, and finally lost their companies to bankruptcy. As for ADI, I have no doubt the bean counters have decided that Trail Boss is not as profitable as their other lines. They are dedicating their full production capabilities to the most profitable lines. Apparently Trail Boss, ain't it.

What stopped powder production at ADI was Australia's adoption of the European Union's REACH protocols. REACH banned the use of a bunch of chemicals including a key plasticizer used in the production of almost all of the powders ADI produced. ADI has had a difficult time reformulating their powders without the use of this particular chemical. Fortunately for shooters in North America, REACH was not adopted by the US and Canada.
bgavin
REACH protocols are also developed by bean counters. The ADI bean counters apparently recalculated their production based on these new onerous demands. I don't know if REACH also impacted VV TinStar N32C, which is the next closest to Trail Boss. The EPA bean counters denied me being able to purchase a new Toyota Hilux truck. I'm told it has something to do with weight to emission ratios. The 4 cylinder small Hilux produces less total emission than my big porker new Tacoma, but the Tacoma has a better weight:emission ratio. Bean counters.
