Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Just got back from the VA medical Center where I saw a man with an artificial right leg. He was sporting a lot of tattoos all over but the one that really stood out was his right leg. It was beautifully painted to match the tattoo on his left leg. I have no tats of my own and don't generally pay much attention to people who do, but this work of art deserved recognition. 4 Quote

Pat Riot Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 One of my nieces has a boatload of tattoos. This chick has no money, ever. Yet she’s covered in tattoos. She finances them. She goes to a tattoo parlor and takes out a loan to get a tattoo. How she does this is beyond me. She said that she always pays on time because if she doesn’t they’ll “come after her”. I guess the loan is from the parlor, not a bank. What a maroon! 1 Quote
Alpo Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 That's the weirdest thing I ever heard of. That's like financing a steak dinner, or financing a prostitute. I don't make the payment they going to come get that steak out of my belly? Or that prostitute going to take her mmm mmm back? If I don't make my car payment they'll repo my car. They going to repo her tattoo? Quote

Not having a single tat, my observations indicate I'm in the 1th percentile. 1 Quote
Warden Callaway Posted October 12, 2024 Posted October 12, 2024 Not long ago I stopped in at a gas station and covenance store in a little grain elevator town. I had to go in to get receipt. Young black woman working the register was covered with tattoos everywhere it showed. Quote
Forty Rod SASS 3935 Posted October 12, 2024 Author Posted October 12, 2024 Where did my response to Blackwater go....and why? It was in no way offensive to anyone but someone with a bug somewhere. 1 Quote

About thirty years ago, a neighbor, who spends most of his spare time drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, and playing Keno at the local watering hole, was admiring a Makita 3/8" VSR drill I was using. He said it was a lot better than the ancient 1/4" Skil he had, and asked how much I paid for it. I told him sixty bucks (or whatever), and he said, "I'm going to the credit union tomorrow and borrow some money to buy one of these." He actually financed a drill. 1 1 Quote

His college freshman daughter come to him one day and told him she was thinking about getting a tattoo. He asked why in the world she would want to do something like that. Well it was to show her Hawaiian heritage. "Because back before Captain Cook, Hawaiian's tattooed. Right Dad?" He said, "They tattooed their slaves so people would know who they belonged to". He never did tell me whether she got one or not. 1 Quote
Blackwater 53393 Posted October 13, 2024 Posted October 13, 2024 (edited) Never saw any piece of art that I’d want to keep that long!! I see old people with tattoos that they got when they were young. Most of ‘em have sagged to the point that they’re like bad cartoons!! EDIT: My buddy, Painted Mohawk has some of the best tats I’ve ever seen! I guess he’d be a good one to explain the other side of the coin. Not that he’d owe anyone an explanation!! MATTER OF CHOICE!! Like a lot of things! Edited October 13, 2024 by Blackwater 53393 2 Quote

LOL TM He told about it, some years back, and I remembered. When he was a little kid in elementary school they came in and tattooed everybody with their blood type. Had to be a long ass time ago because I certainly can't see them doing it today. The massive lawsuits if they did something like that today. 1 Quote
