I'm curious what original color was in WW2. In movies I've seen black and brown. So if you historians can help let me know.

What I seen from original Vets that wore their original which showed their age when we flew in with a B17. They were a chocolate brown color, some faded a little lighter.

My Dad was crew chief on a C47. When he came home he brought his flight suit home. It consisted of a coat and pair of pants, dark chocolate color lined with wool. I remember crawling into the bottom of the closet he had them stored in and taking my naps curled up in them.
