If you get Amazon and you want to watch a very interesting and entertaining series this is a good one.
Fair warning. It’s bloody at times.

Pennyworth. That was the clown in Stephen King's It, wasn't it?

That was Pennywise the clown.

And a sordid history. Unless it's been retconned he was British OSS before returning to the family business.

Alfred is a bada'' his own self.

Correction: SAS

I did not realize this was a series about Batman’s future Butler. I normally don’t watch comic book related shows, but I must say I am enjoying this one.

Retconned then but I've been reading comics since the 70's

If it on the WB it's likely a DC comic property

I saw a few episodes during a Free HBO weekend a couple years back.  Good show, but I'm not willing to pay the extra $ to watch it on Amazon.  BTW, I have Amazon Prime, but there is an extra charge to watch Pennyworth.

I'll pass.

Yeah, Sorry. @Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 was right. It’s an MGM+ pay channel. It’s only $6 per month, but I understand not wanting the additional costs.

Thanks. To me the worst part of the additional cost is how they sneak up ya, 5 here, ten there, … And at least one of them does not take “cancel” seriously. I had to cancel the danged card to stop getting billed.  I even had to take a hiatus from Amazon to get it reset to zero extra.

They wanted money to watch it on Amazon. I found it on Max for free. I just finished season 1 and it is pretty good.

I don’t have cable so I use Amazon and Netflix. On Amazon I pay for Paramount+ and MGM+.
So far I haven’t had any trouble canceling channels, but I wouldn’t doubt Amazon is prone to screw things up. It seems they rely more and more on AI. I do not like or trust AI.

Me neither and my PhD was in AI.

Well... I've watched three episodes on Prime.  I've never signed up for "MGM+" - just watched 'em.  So, I turned on the TV and checked - sure 'nuff, it says "MGM+" on the Pennyworth tab.

Hmmm.... next, I logged onto Amazon and checked my "subscriptions."  Yup... there's Prime.  But nope ~ no MGM+.

So am I gonna be gettin' a bill?

Think I might hold off on more episodes until I figger that out.

If it says “Available with Prime” you should be fine.
My wife and I subscribed to Starz to watch a couple of shows. After reviewing what available from these PC morons we cancelled in the 7 day Trial Period. About a week later I selected a show to watch, that I can’t remember the title now, and after 15 minutes I decided to stop it. A Starz logo appeared and I thought “Oh crap. They didn’t cancel my subscription!” But, it turned out it was “Available with Prime” and all was well…except for the lame show that took 15 minutes of my time.
