Alpo
The "if you could only have one" thread. I've seen threads like this on other boards, and somebody is bound to decide that the question refers to the government only allowing you to have one. That's never said in the question. Might be you can only afford one. But there is going to be somebody - maybe several somebodys - that will decide it's a government regulation, and they know how to beat it. So their "one gun" will be in AR-15, with several different uppers. Or it will be a Thompson contender, with different chambered barrels. Because, as we all know, the gun is the receiver. Everything else is just parts. So if the government only allows you to have one gun, and you had a contender, you could have a 22 pistol and you could have a 30-06 rifle and you can have a 410 shotgun, and they all fit on the same receiver so it's still just one gun. Or you could get an AR, and you can have uppers in 223 and in 9 mm and in 300 blackout and in half a dozen other cartridges. Still just one gun. Do you suppose that if the government actually did pass a law saying only one gun - and the revolution did not happen - they would allow that type of sneak around? Eyesa Horg
If it were to happen, I'd be fun to beat em at their own terminology. Imagine the future CAS, having to stage your barrels! Transitions would be slower for sure! Edited October 2 by Eyesa Horg
