Phantom, SASS #54973 Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 If you haven't shoot The Revenge, you're missing out on one of the best matches bar none! This is one of the matches that really give back to the shooters...it's not about how much money the club puts back into their pockets, but rather a big thank you to the CAS shooting community. Texas Maverick Posted October 3, 2024 Author Posted October 3, 2024 (edited) This is just one of our great items that will be handed out at the match. A huge thank you to Alessandro Pietta of F.LLI Pietta one of out main match sponsors for the beautiful pair of 1858 Remington Stainless Steel Sheriff’s! These are sweet and yes, they are sequential! Someone will be taking them home! TM Edited October 28, 2024 by Texas Maverick 2 Quote

Abilene, SASS # 27489 Posted October 7, 2024 Posted October 7, 2024 I had to look it up. Probably some are street legal if they have the proper requirements, but "I don't think" they are allowed as a gun cart at this match because not enough room on the range, if that was your question. Quote

Can't speak for the board, but when I was around we always made allowances for those with medical needs. Phantom 1 Quote

Sedalia Dave Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Is there a schedule of events? Will there be a cowboy yard sale? Quote

I think the only thing posted is just the basics on the application form. We just had our monthly match yesterday, and Leathersmith said lunch on Saturday would probably be BBQ's Brats, and Chicken on Sunday. There has not been a yard sale in the past, though some people might put stuff on their tailgates, etc. Look forward to seeing you! 1 Quote
Abilene, SASS # 27489 Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 Oh yeah, heard some prizes were a pair of BP pistols from Pietta, a Ruger .22 I think, and Ruger-Marlin .357 '94. Quote
Abilene, SASS # 27489 Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 And I guess a BP-championship of any sort is the right place for this: I just ran across a Goex case full (25) of empty Goex red metal cans. A mixture of FFg and FFFg. I don't need them and if anyone wants them I will bring them to the match. Quote

The schedule of events is listed in the application doc. Long Range on Friday and 2 days for the main match on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch on Saturday and Sunday. We do not have a scheduled yard sale but in the past those that have something for sale are welcome to bring their items and they do it from their tailgate. We have a number of raffle and shooter prizes including a number of firearms. It will be a great shoot. We currently have a little over 50 shooters registered so we have plenty of room still available. TM Edited October 29, 2024 by Texas Maverick Quote

Largo Now I know what you are asking, it is legal but there isn't a lot of room for them to be running up and down the line. You would need to be very careful because you will be sharing it with shooters and their gun carts. We have had a few in the past but not a lot of shooters have brought them so we have never really addressed them. TM Quote

They were posted on our FB page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/greenmountainregulators Here is the info from that page. Side matches will be on Saturday after lunch and we will have our usual speed matches to include, as always, 22 rifle and pistol, pocket pistol and derringer, main match pistols, rifle and shotgun, but we’ve added a new event this year. FASTEST WILD BUNCH STAGE!!! That’s right! Be sure to bring those wild bunch guns for some additional fun on Saturday! TM Edited October 29, 2024 by Texas Maverick 2 Quote

Abilene, SASS # 27489 Posted November 4, 2024 Posted November 4, 2024 Forecast is looking pretty good. Some rain possible Thursday and Friday, might make the long range on Friday a little damp, but they do have covers to shoot under. The cowboy range has great drainage, so it shouldn't be muddy even if it rains beforehand. Saturday and Sunday lows in the morning are 49 and highs 71 on Saturday and 79 on Sunday. Not a lot of wind, especially on Sunday. Gonna get smokey! 2 Quote
