MLB PLAYOFFS was:Tigers v. Astros

Yankees win 6 - 3.

Judge finally goes deep to put up the insurance runs.

Ramirez hits a meaningless dinger in the ninth.

On to Cleveland for three if needed.

The Guards look pathetic, I hope they can step it up!

Side note they were 2-4 against the Yanks in the regular season.

I don’t know why Mgr Vogt started Cobb last night. He pitched in 3 games all year. He was out for a couple months with a blister on his finger. After it supposedly healed it came back! Oyvaay!!!!!!! He should have never started that game!

For what it's worth now, they sent Cobb back for another pitcher, can't remember who.

I really don't know why Cobb is still in the majors. He was pretty good when he was with the Rays...until he got drilled in the face by a line drive. Very scary at the time. After that he just wasn't the same. He seemed scared of every ball hit anywhere near his way (duck/cover/dive) and his pitching became very erratic. That's why he's not with the team any longer.

Go Tribe!

Yep, he ducked at one the other night where most pitchers at least put up their glove! The problem with his blister on his finger is just insane!

He ducked twice the other night. I think he had the blister thing while he was with the Rays also.

I don’t know if it’s the Yankees’ pitching and defense or Cleveland’s lineup, but they left eleven runners on base last night and went 0 for 7 with runners in scoring position!

The Yankees’ pitching walked eight or nine of those runners but the only one hitting consistently last night was Cleveland’s leadoff batter.

Like I said last night, for a while there, both teams looked like Little Leaguer’s with the fielding errors and mistakes and the sloppy base running. The Yankees literally ran themselves out of one inning getting two runners thrown out in base running miscues.  They managed to score only one run with the first three batters in the inning reaching base safely!

Looks, sadly, like the doggers have got this one.  Too many missed opportunities and too many mistakes by the good guys!  Lots of warning track shots, but nothing quite far enough.

Oh well!  Like Scarlett said… “Tomorrow’s another day…”

As much as I emotionally I want Cleveland to take the pennant, a small part of me would like to see the Yankees take it.  A Dodgers v. Yankees World Series is a classic baseball rivalry.

I hope it’s a really small part! I want Dodgers and Guardians. 😎

Even my favorite team can’t keep me interested if they’re playing badly!  If I ain’t at the ballpark, I’m changing the channel!  Don’t know if they’re finally running out of gas or what!

I hope they can turn it around, but I’m really just happy that they shut all the talking heads up that declared ‘em dead back around the first of May!!

LET’S GO METS!!

Me ‘n’ Schoolmarm and J. Mark were just talking about that.  While, at the moment, they’ve walked the bases full, I observed that perhaps they just need to be told they’re through, like back in May and again last night!

True but 8 runs is hard to come by, not impossible but improbable 🙄

And now it's 10-6, top of the 6th, one out.
