Rye Miles #13621
My cousin and best friend who is deceased moved to California years ago. I visited him twice and both times we went to a Dodgers game. He was an Indians fan but became a Dodgers fan as well. We used to talk about a Dodgers Indians World Series. I moved to L.A. in 1982. I was trying to pursue a music career. I lived with my cousin for about 8 months. (Things didn’t work out musically so I moved back home.) During that time he got box seats to a Dodgers game. Love that stadium and I sorta became a Dodgers fan because of him. He passed away in 95. Well, Jim maybe this year we’ll see a WS between the Dodgers and Guardians. Of course you have a box seat in heaven!🙏🙏 2

J-BAR #18287
While you guys are watching the Dodgers, I'm gonna watch Colorado State University Football. A review of their roster shows these three players: ...Larry, Curry, and Morris. It could be entertaining! Subdeacon Joe
Wonder when the Dodgers are going to show up? Are we going to be trading blowouts this series? Edited October 14 by Subdeacon Joe

Blackwater 53393
A walk, a stolen base, a one out double, and an RBI for insurance in the top of the ninth! Diaz got the last four outs! Series is even!!
Subdeacon Joe
At least the Dodgers made it interesting rather than an outright blowout.

Blackwater 53393
I’m probably more critical than most of umpires. Particularly home plate umpires and their strike zones. This umpire behind the plate in the ALCS game must have taken lessons from Angel Hernandez!! I HATE sloppy ball and strike calls!! Nomadic strike zones are not fair to either team!

Throw strikes!! If you’re up 0-2 and are in and around the strike zone, the “down and away” is a competitive pitch. If you’re not in or around the strike zone, GET THERE!! You’re in the late innings with a five or six run lead, THROW STRIKES!! A walk, a bloop, and a blast will hurt a lot more than just a blast! If they can beat your best pitch, they’ll beat you anyway! Make them beat you! Don’t give it to ‘em!!

That’s another new rule that I loathe!! My relief pitcher isn’t getting it done and it’s obvious that this isn’t his night, I should be able to sub him out immediately!! This is a garbage rule and made much worse in this “pitch clock” era! Given an extra moment or two COULD allow a pitcher to collect himself and do the work! A maximum of twenty seconds, (I’m STILL diametrically opposed to the pitch clock) is not conducive to getting one’s self settled!! I might be less disenchanted if one or the other rule were in place, but both is a big detriment to the game!

I know they got rid of the man on second in the 10th when its tied. https://www.si.com/mlb/2023/09/29/mlb-playoff-rules-explained-ghost-runner-pitch-clock-rosters-format

Blackwater 53393
Yanks got that one!! That call at first base was completely wrong! The runner intentionally ran into the pitcher who was trying to receive the throw from the outfield. He could have easily avoided that collision. Because he made the turn toward second, he was in fair territory and the tag out was correct and legal! Good to see Anthony Rizzo back in the game and Stanton is just a BEAST with a bat in his hands! So! The NLCS is tied up and headed to NYC. Yankees have the opener in hand and at home again tomorrow. Every game is a new story and like Yogi said, “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over!!” Edited October 15 by Blackwater 53393

He was out for a couple months with a blister on his finger. After it supposedly healed it came back! Oyvaay!!!!!!! He should have never started that game!
Blackwater 53393
Vogt was trying to do the same thing that the Mets tried to do Sunday. Get his starting pitching staff an extra day’s rest. It didn’t work for him either! Yanks vs Cleveland, round 2. 6:30 CST tonight!!
Blackwater 53393
Weird game so far! Errors everywhere, walks from the top pitchers, base runners messing up, and lots of runners LOB!! Looks like Little League!!
