BATAAN.
THE 4th MARINES "SOMEWHERE IN BATAAN"-Marching over the rough roads of Bataan, these Marines are seen "Somewhere in Bataan." This detachment is part of the 4th Marine Regiment that arrived In the Philippines from Shanghai several days before the Japanese attacked American island in the Pacific. ORIGINAL HISTORIC WARTIME CAPTION. (NARA)

FULLY LOADED, the cart is ready for action. The second MI-AI flame thrower has been secured to its alloted place in the cart. Two flame-guns in water-proof bags, complete the unit. All of the paraphernalia are given addtiional security by the regular straps of the machine-gun cart, pulled tightly over the equipment and buckled. August 1944 - Pavuvu, Russell Island

I just finished reading Bill O'Reilly's "Killing the Rising Sun"
Very informative history of WW2 in the Pacific.

One of the guys I rode with for several years towed one of those carts behind his custom trike!  We used it to haul gear and groceries on weekend trips.  It pulled great!!
