Hashknife Cowboy
For those of us who grew up in the Phoenix area during the 60's, Wallace and Ladmo taught us kids how to tell time. Their show came on at 4 PM and all of us kids would run or pedal our bikes on home to not miss a minute of it. Although I never won a Ladmo bag it wasn't for trying. Thanks for the memories and to Dr. Zook for the post. On a side note, I was able to meet with Ladmo as an adult and was able to personally thank him for all that he and Wallace had done for the kids. Classy gentleman they both were. Maricopa County was a simpler place back then.... Edited September 26 by Hashknife Cowboy

Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933
Wallace & Ladmo were favorites when I was going to ASU (Arizona State University) in the 60s. Their humor while amuzing for kids was really adult oriented. I worked at Legend City for pocket money while at ASU. They even had a restaurant which if I remember was on Bethany Home Road. Those Ladmo burgers were pretty good.

I grew up at 7th St & Bethany, my rescue partner @ 15th Ave & Bethany Home (never knew each other until we started working together in early 90's).... 19th and Bethany = Bob's Big Boy, Christown Mall and Farrell's.... 15th Ave and Thomas - Mary Coyles Ice cream... Wow, never knew it was there... earliest memories of that area was Baskin Robins on the NW side in the strip mall, old redbrick mechanics garage and SupeRx drug store on the southwest side of Bethany Home Rd/16th St. --- how about Bill Johnson's Big Apple on E. Van Buren with the radio station inside? Can't forget the original Pete's on E Van Buren but I remember the one more on N 44th St.
