Rossi 92 aftermarket spring sets, availability

Hi from New Zealand. I have recently become interested in CAS shooting at my local club. I have a R92 Puma in 357mag that I would like to begin with as I already have it. I'm confident to slick it up myself but sourcing a lighter set of springs is proving difficult. Lee Gunsmithing seems to no longer exist..Pablo Verde spring sets seem to be unobtainable anywhere.

 

So what are folk using to tune the Rossi?  Appreciate any info. Cheers. J.

Not sure who sells springs specifically for the Rossi’s. I went to the hardware store and compared my ejector spring with the springs they had in stock. Turns out that a Century brand C530 spring works great. (1” x 7/32” x 0.032 wire).  For the hammer spring, I used a Ruger New Vaquero hammer spring. I think it was about a 19 or 20 lb spring.

You probably could not find PV on the web as he is Palo Verde and not Pablo Verde.  He catalogs the '92 spring kit for $34.50.  See https://pvgunworks.com/Product-category/spring-kits/.  I'll see him at the Arizona State Match at the end of October and will ask him about the kits.

The problem is that most American dealers will not/can not ship parts out of the country.

Yes, that's a real problem for those of us outside the borders. Apart from the choice, for whatever reasons, to only supply to the domestic market, the cost of shipping, sometimes the cost of paperwork and compliance, and the sheer hassle of customer service and management can be overwhelming. 

 

Thanks for all the replies. A search for Lee Gunsmithing from down here brings up a permanently closed website.  Those suppliers like Brownell who do ship internationally are  not showing stock available.  A local supplier here has Palo Verde listed but no stock. I will definitely follow up on the other leads suggested, including matching from local hardware.  There are a lot of Rossis in NZ. Mainly for hunting but also for competition, or both. Others will be interested in what I find out so thanks again all. Happy shooting.
