I can’t even think of any movie or TV series gun that I would pay anything over market value for.

I can!

Clint Eastwoods gun from a Leone movie!!!

I saw the Hand of God earlier when the bid was around 2 or 3k. At that price I’d be interested. At the current bid-no way! I can buy a machine gun for THAT much!!

I agree.  If it's a gun I want badly I'll find one without the history, fooferah, and other pricy things.

Dont they have multiples of things like that when they make a movie? I heard they had 4 quigley rifles and something like 10 rambo knives for those pictures? Wonder if thats really the one and only from 310?

On a big budget movie, typically yes.

Quigley had a lot of fight scenes with the rifle as a club, they needed extras so damage wouldn't hold up filming.  They had an aluminum replica barrel made to cut weight from the 13# rifle, I've never seen reference to it being installed.  There were 3 rifles made.  Selleck bought all 3 after filming.

Rambo had steel, aluminum, cast resin knives, sharp and appeared sharp versions of his knife.  They also had replacements in case of loss or damage.  Alternatively, the scrap canvas that became his poncho was litter found during filming.  There was no backup, so it was guarded better than the knives.
