Happy 9mm Day 9-19

Today is 9mm day as designated by someone somewhere. The 9x19 cartridge or commonly known as 9mm has been around since 1902 when it went into production. Designed in 1901 by Georg Luger

So, if you want to talk like a pirate and celebrate the 9mm “today is yer day, me bucko”

Maybe I’ll get one of these for one of my Glocks which are all 9mm ;)

My only 9mm is a Star Model 43 Firestar, that I've had for about 40 years.  It's heavy and has been refinished, but it is 100% reliable, more accurate than I am able to make every day use of, and  it needs new grips.

Over the years I have had a dozen or so 9mm handguns of many makes and models.  This old Star is he only one I really liked and that's why I kept it.  It's my "dashboard" gun living in the glove box all the time...along with an even dozen spare magazines with a 13th in the gun....just in case.

I forgot to add my Ruger PC Carbine.

If I could only carry one long gun out of my house for whatever reason it would be this one. I have never had a malfunction with this gun. It’s 100% reliable. It’s accurate with darn near any ammo I have tried in it. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it’s a bit heavy for what it is.
I am seriously considering mounting a low power scope on it. An LPVO, probably.
