Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Donald Trump’s star is being removed from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
sassnetguy50 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 So many questions How many of the other 2787 stars are paid current? Why are they spending additional money to remove it rather than not maintain it? Will a new star take it's place or will there be a gap? How many gaps are there?
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted September 11, 2024 Author Posted September 11, 2024 Only living stars have a fee to pay.
sassnetguy50 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 After some searching "Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk," said the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in November 2017, reported by The Independent. About 20% of the stars were temporarily removed and stored in the 90s. They were reinstalled after the subway project was completed. I did not see any other example of a star being removed.
Pat Riot Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Honestly, who cares? Really. If you have ever been ti the Hollywood Walk of Fame you would actually think it’s the Hollywood Walk of Shame. It’s a scummy area full of bums, druggies and scumbags surrounded by shallow opulence. While walking you get to enjoy the lovely smell of urine and feces. If you wish to take a photo of a star, homeless sh**birds will block it until you pay them to move. It’s a lovely area, if your a fan of enlightenment and in the deep sleep of being “Woke”. If I were Trump or any other star I would rejoice that they were removing it.
Ozark Huckleberry Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Can't find anything that verifies this -- is there a source? All I could find is past December, some butt-hurt Holly-wierdos running petitions that seem to have gone nowhere. It would be best to keep stringing the crazies along, anyway. If the wrong one decides getting it removed is a lost cause, it'll be 'hammer time'.
Rye Miles #13621 Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 It’s still there, it was damaged and repaired but now this jerk has started a petition to get it removed. https://www.yahoo.com/news/nobodys-ever-lost-star-hollywood-110021762.html

He got the star in 2007 when all the liberals loved him and his money! 17 minutes ago, Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 said: That and $75,000 I doubt anyone paid for a star including him! Prove it please?
Rye Miles #13621 Posted September 12, 2024 Posted September 12, 2024 Pay $40,000 After selections are made, those who nominated the celebrity pay $40,000 toward the cost of promotion, the star ceremony and future upkeep of the star. A portion of the costs go to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. Some fans have raised funds for their favorite celebrity’s ceremony in the past, but the Walk of Fame does not encourage or endorse online campaigns for fundraising before a celebrity is selected for the honor. In other cases, movie studios or record labels foot the bill. The star cannot be bought and is an honor achieved through the nomination and selection process.
