Teacher, teacher!

Recommended Posts

The lovely Shortcake got certified as a substitute teacher over the summer. Here she is at her first day on the job: high school English.

I like to post some humor when I work in the agricultural sciences department.

My sincerest condolences.

I did the substitute teacher route for three years until I got a full time position.  That only lasted a year before I became Director of Academics (DOA was a very appropriate sign) at Sawyer College in Pomona, CA.

Another one year job in my "quiver" of jobs.

Schoolmarm did a total of thirty-four years as a teacher!  Only a year as a substitute in Nashville, but three years in Dalton, Ga. and thirty here in Cheatham County.

She also taught GED classes for about ten years!!

I only taught adult night classes in automotive electronics for a couple of years.  Wasn’t something that I found rewarding.

Well done, Shortcake and Lawdog!

I taught physiology to first year nursing students in night college classes from 1995 to 2010.  I enjoyed it.

It was one of the few times in my life that people paid attention to what I was saying.

Good on you.  My college classes were just a repeat of HS.  One of our HS anat/phys final exam ? was: trace a bite of (our class got meat) from the mouth to a cell in the leg.
