Elon Musk and His Secret Agenda

Recommended Posts

I think I figured it out when I was leaving the  free charging station at the casino and saw a row of Teslas being charged.  He wanted to revive the lost art of backing up.

Tesla have the charging port in the rear.   Tesla charging stations don't have cables long enough to reach it if you pull in nose first,  you have to learn to back into the parking spot to charge.

I think star Link is his agenda to put so many satellites in orbit to make it hard for the alien invaders to get through that mess. ;)

HA!!  HA!!

I don't have to learn to Parallel Park.  MY car will Parallel Park ITSELF!!

It's planned to combine the Musk Starlink Shield with the already in-place Laser Gun and Charged Particle Cannon towers as our first line of defense against the Alien Invaders.

Hey, the guy never makes it a secret!   Launching a sports car into space, designing and selling Flame Throwers, Space Ships out of old comics that mostly work.  Amazing guy, I'd love to sit for a drink or two with him.

The alien invaders have already invaded.;)

The Starlink Shield isn't to keep aliens out, it's to keep humans in.

Read it on the internet, gotta be true!

I agree but, have you ever listened to him in an interview?  His manner of speech and how it creates a point is hard to listen too.

Interview vs. conversation, the latter stress free.  You could be right, probably also a commonality of interest factor would be involved.

His speech pattern takes a little getting used to,  but he lays bare the fallacies on which the journalist based his question and then demolishes it.

Like the joke about different space agencies report disasters:

Russia- We deny the lies of the western press that anything went wrong.

NASA - We will be looking into what happened and keeping you informed.

SpaceX -  WOW!  Did you see how awesomely that exploded!  We'll learn a bunch from this rapid,  unplanned disassembly!

Teslas are about the only EVs selling half way decent. I’ll stick to gasoline myself.

My guess is that's  because Tesla has the most models available,  as well as the best name recognition.   Also the best network of charging stations.

Around here I'm seeing more and more Rivians, both pickup and SUV.  I've seen several new VW EVs, as well as Kia and Nissans, and a sprinkling of others.

At the moment, the batteries are potential bombs.  Not by intent, but the functional possibilities are obvious.  I have a fair sized property and will not have an EV on my land. BTW with distances here, I could not trust an EV for a round trip to the Doctor.

Just wait until he puts in place his plan to make people learn to parallel park!  :D

I have never really had a problem with parallel parking. I learned it pretty quickly as a kid.

Regarding backing into parking spots.
I flipping hate that practice. Not because I can’t, but because I have noticed that most people that back into parking spots for their quick get away or for whatever reason do it a helluva a lot slower than they would when backing out of a parking spot. I’m sure.

Adding that to my list of reasons not to go with an EV. That battery should have a skid plate.

I wonder if that could be considered a hazardous spill?

In my area last week, there was a tremendous amount of rain and associated flooding. The tv news was full of videos showing idiots in flooded out cars that tried to drive thru the high water...water way past the floorboards. One of the videos showed a Tesla "pickup truck" driving thru water that was about a foot higher than the floorboards. I thought to myself, that thing will have big problems or catch on fire one day due to driving thru the water. He probably went home and parked it in his garage.

I used to do it with my pickup not for the "quickgetaway" but because of the narrow parking spaces and narrow traffic lanes it was a whole lot easier to back into the space  and  then pull out than when going in nose first.

So....you're mad because the EV was able to drive through a space that ICE vehicles stalled in and created a traffic hazard.  Then, without evidence,  imply that all EVs that get wet soon burst into flames.

If it had been salt water there would be a greater chance,  true,

OMYGAWD!!!! 20 CAUGHT FIRE!!!  Out of how many thousand in the area?  ADDED: how many were Tesla pickups?

I guess we need to ban guns because of accidental shootings.

https://www.edmunds.com/electric-car/articles/electric-car-fires.html

"

The MSB's 2023 report found that electric car fires, out of about 611,000 electric vehicles, have averaged about 20 per year in the last three years. On the other hand, cars powered by fuel — totaling about 4.4 million — had about 3,400 fires during that same time. The agency concedes that some of the fires in internal combustion engine vehicles were due to arson, but the figures still come out in favor of EVs.

Similarly, Australia's EV FireSafe, a group funded by the country's department of defense, studied global EV battery fires from 2010 to 2020. The report found that the risk of an electric car battery catching fire was a thousandth of a percent (0.0012%). FireSafe noted that it was difficult to find similar data for internal combustion engine vehicles globally, but based on the reports the group looked at, it estimated fire risk at a tenth of a percent (0.1%).

For comparison, the U.S. had over 283 million registered vehicles in 2022, so the odds are good that you'll never have to worry about your new electric car bursting into flames. But what if the odds are against you and you do experience a lithium fire?"

0.0012%.  Not a high risk,  is it?

I know,  "BUTOHMYGAWD!!! They burn hotter than the Sun, take months to put out and one will burn down a whole county! " according to the alarmists.  And?  An ICE vehicle that catches fire in a garage or attached carport is likely to burn down your house,  so no difference there.  If an EV catches fire roadside, wet down the area around it and let it burn out, which seems to be the method becoming more and more common.  Fire technology will catch up with this relatively new hazard.

To avoid quoting all of your rant, anytime there is major flooding on a peninsula in Florida...it has salt water in it. Tides high, lands flat, water's level.

If you don't think that driving an EV vehicle, or any vehicle for that matter, thru deep water isn't detrimental to the longevity of the electronics and/or batteries of an EV...keep kidding yourself.

Water, especially water with an elevated saline count, is bad for electrical connections...which batteries, by pure coincidence, happen to be a part of.

Chill out, you're reading way more into my post than it means.
