Squib Kidd Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 Hello, I recently injured my hand shooting my 1873. I pushed hard on the lever and my tendon in my hand ripped. So, I'm switching to a Lightning in order to save my hand and continue shooting CAS. That means a caliber change. And I prefer to shoot all the same caliber. The 1873 rifle is basically flawless with (if I remember correctly) a gen 4 short stroke kit with the aluminum carrier. It's all blued. Very nice rifle functions well. Also has a worked, light trigger. I am also willing to trade for a pair of 38/357 SAA or Ruger NMV (SASS would be cool) in 4 5/8" or 3 1/2" barrels, with added cash from me where applicable. Ciderbarrel Posted April 21 Posted April 21 I finally got to use it in a match this past weekend, after never having the time to make my ammo, and it it is so smooth. Used 1.9cc of Triple Seven and people could not believe how clean the gun was at the end of the Match. This is going to be my main rifle for FC Duelist and Frontiersman matches from now on

Watch that your brass gets sized properly and continues to chamber smoothly when you reload it. Check out my new CAS bullet in 38 on my website, it's a gamer! www.procastbulletco.com -Mike
