A months or so back

I started a thread about buying drill bits. I said how I had a set, but could not find them so I bought new ones, but before I ever had a chance to open the new ones I found the original ones. So now I had two sets, and could not find either one so bought a third set.

The third set would not drill metal. So I took it back. And now once again I was bitless.

I just found the second set. I don't know why it was hiding there, but there it was and hopefully I'll remember where I put it this time.

Still don't know where the first set is.

Simple enough, I store all the bits with the drill.

I have a tool box with my drill, impact driver, drill bits, driver bits, step drills, wall anchors, a hammer, nuts, bolts, and screws just so I DON'T lose anything. About the only thing not in there is my charger and spare battery, (for the drill, no sarcastic comments needed, thank you very much).

My Dad always told me, “Once you find it, store it in the first place you looked for it. That is the place you are most likely to look next time.” Mostly that works.

Corner table by the front door so that I don't have to hunt for it when the battery in the drill inevitably dies in the middle of a project.

(Edit) Of course when that happens, the project I'm working on is usually in the BACK yard, so there's that.
