WOLFY Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 Was this common manufacturers advertising jargon?. Or was there a transition between (bp) gun powder and smokeless powder?
McCandless Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 Those Peters cartridges were made with King's Semi-Smokeless Powder, which was an early form of BP substitute. The powder mill was located between Cincinnati, OH and Miamisburg, at a place called King's Mill. It was where Kings Island Amusemant Park now stands.
Kid Rich Posted September 2, 2024 Posted September 2, 2024 If you ever shot Dupont #2 you would find it smokes about the same as BP. kR
WOLFY Posted September 3, 2024 Author Posted September 3, 2024 Okay, so not a duplex or combo propellant. Just an early BP substitute. Thanks y’all.
