Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 The Camp Minden facility, once Goex is in full swing, will manufacture potassium nitrate, barium nitrate, strontium nitrate, strontium oxalate, strontium peroxide, potassium chlorate, potassium perchlorate, and potassium sulfate-- vital compounds used in defense and other industries.
Cypress Sun Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 It's about time the US starts manufacturing the materials necessary for weapons manufacturing. The Chinese are severely restricting antimony and other materials needed for the current needs of today's world.
Blackwater 53393 Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 As I said over on the Team SASS Forum, the more of this kind of industry that we promote and bring back “in country” the greater out national security is enhanced!!
Marshal Mo Hare, SASS #45984 Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 As I recall, much of the lead production here has moved elsewhere because of the environment. On the other hand we still have the mines.
Blackwater 53393 Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 We could still mine and smelt iron too!! Is there ANY steel production in the U.S. anymore?? What about other metals?? We’re at the mercy of others for nearly ALL of our refined materials these days!!
Pat Riot Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 That’s good news regarding Goex. As for our country making needed things… Do you ever wonder if Federal Environmental Regs aren’t designed to get Corporations to manufacture in China so that China learns to make quality tools of war and it makes America vulnerable? Just a thought.

Just a thought. Yes, especially with the current administration and company.
