H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619 Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Will the club that holds what it called a 2 day EoT Warm Up match in Tombstone, Arizona be doing it again next year? Depending on timing cost, I may wish to do that instead. Not the cost of EoT, I know that's expensive and would absorb it. But the cost of HOTELS in Phoenix at that time is.... Rather expensive. It'll all come down to what I can afford.
Ol Number4 Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Yes, the two day warm up shoots will be Friday and Saturday before EOT.

So that would be 21st and 22nd of February, right? Is it a 2 day shoot, or two 1 day shoots back to back? Do you have to pre-register, or just show up?
Cowtown Scout, SASS #53540 L Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Two 1 day shoots back to back. They have a thread about it on here somewhere. Found it
Too Tall Bob Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 TUMBLEWEEDS SHOOT OUT 2025 . 2025 E.O.T. WARM UP MATCH HOSTED By BORDERTOWN SUNDAY Feb. 21(Friday) & Feb. 22(Saturday), 2025 at theTombstone Livery in Tombstone, Arizona This is a total “No Frills” match. The goal is to give folks 1 or 2 days of shooting with no pressure but just plain fun to work out the kinks, misses and bent bullets. The only expectation is that you are guaranteed to be heckled by your friends. The match this year is $30 per day - you can shoot Friday or Saturday or both days - your choice. The matches are on Friday and Saturday so folks have a leisurely day on Sunday to get to Ben Avery. No frills means no awards, no vendors, no sponsors, no food vendor, no whinin’, no cheatin’, no spittin’ and lots of laughing and harassing your friends. Scores are emailed out to shooters a day or 2 after the match is over. Water will be provided - food is your responsibility. The range has camping available and if it fills up there are lots of other places to stay. This is the 4th or 5th year we have put this on. Come join us and have a bunch of fun! Oh - and be prepared to spend a bunch of time wandering Tombstone!! If you have any questions drop me a line! TOO TALL BOB and yes, the fates be willing - we will do it again in 2026!
Go West Posted August 16, 2024 Posted August 16, 2024 Hotel/motel accommodations in Sierra Vista (16 miles away) can be less expensive and more modern. We like the Crystal Palace and Longhorn in Tombstone, but weekends can be a crowded time. You can also visit Texas Roadhouse, Native Grill, Applebee's, Chili's, or La Casita among others in Sierra Vista.
