remington #11 percussion caps

Just bought a North American Arms black powder pistol, and they say only use remington #11 percussion caps. No one around St Louis Mo. has them. Were can I get some?

Thanks Rudy

Try:

SHYDA'S OUTDOOR CENTER

1635 S. LINCOLN AVE
LEBANON, PA 17042

717.273.6572

But, check 'em out first, I've never dealt with them.

They are 5 miles from me and a long time LGS. I shop there all the time for reloading supplies. They are legit.

@Red Rider Rudy Highly suggest you read the excellent white paper Mako did on percussion caps.

Thet don't ship.

I tried too and said no shipping to my address! :( and to contact them. Probably a hazmat issue, I will try calling when I get home.

Remington #10s are likely too long for that teeny tiny pistol.

I would try the RWS 1075 or the CCI #10.

I called Shyda's and they can't ship hazmat currently due to no employees that are certified. They hoping for the beginning of the year.

Just FYI.

Thanks everyone for the help. My friend got me these RWS 1075, I think they will work, just need to make a pusher tool to get them all the way down.

Use a short honey dipper;). They're ultra cheap on Amazon.

Read your post, so got out my NAA Earl BP and checked what I could for you.

I tested RWS 1075 Plus, Reminton #11, CCI #11, Winchester 11 Magnum caps for fit.   Winchesters were closer fit than RWS.  CCI's were way too tall.  Only the Remington #11'S will work on either cylinder of my gun.  The anvil thickness looked like the issue, not the length of the skirts on the other caps.  Not a scientific study, just a quick check for FYI.

These are precision little revolvers with zero slop.  NAA has always specified only Rem #11's.

Here are the test pics.

Possibly there is a chance NAA also knows Rem #11"s are sometimes unobtainable these days.  These specialized nipples are removed by inserting a little Allen wrench into the flame hole.  Maybe there is a chance NAA has alternative nipples available?
