(SOLD)Rock Island 1903 Rifle.

Recommended Posts

Another fine rifle I hate to part with but here is a nice example of a 1903 rifle. I have shot this a few times and such an enjoyment to shoot with a nice bore and tight stock lock up.
Asking $900.00 shipped to your FFL or C&R.

Rifle is cross posted.

I don’t know what this means, sorry. Do you mean the stock reinforcements?

It’s also posted on another forum I am apart of.

was this a CMP gun?   is the floor plate pinned ---just curious

I bought it from a member on the CMP forum and it was not disclosed by him as a CMP gun. I’m not sure what you mean by pinned? It has the regular screws to hold in place.

the CMP guns were often Greek returns and had a brass pin to prevent the floor plate from being opened accidentally in combat

it easily reversible but would be an indication of it being a Greek return

you have to remove the trigger guard assembly to see it

I think many of the Greek guns were arsenal re barreled though. Yours might be an original barrel

It could even be an old DCM gun from the golden years of the program

looks very nice and is a great price
