Chicken tax prevents sale of small imported trucks and an EPA reg that says larger vehicles can have higher exhaust percentages means manufacturers are making bigger and bigger trucks and SUVs.

And i saw a fortnine video on youtube that shows a massive increase in pedestrian fatalities from the giant vertical grills on the new giant trucks.

I want one of these. Small 4 banger with minimalist interior

I was just looking at these today when I was searching trucks in general.
About 3 years ago when I lived in SoCal I kept seeing this black Mitsubishi 4x4 van. One day I was at the gas station when he pulled in and I asked him where he got it.
He purchased it from a dealer in Canada that specialized in purchasing specific vehicles for American citizens then doing all of the required paperwork to “import” the vehicle into the U.S. for the buyer.
He gave me the name and contact info for this dealer but I lost it during our move.

I was wondering earlier if a Champ could be had that way. From what I read they come with diesel engines and a manual transmission.

Question: What is the “chicken tax”?

LBJ Added a 25% tariff to light trucks imported from outside the U. S in response to France and Germany, putting tariffs on US chickens

Start going to the gym and pump some iron so you can close those tailgates you have problems lifting.

Closing the tailgate is not an issue, not do I personally own one.

I have a relative that does and for people are not aware,  the tailgate comes crashing into them.

Also, I am allergic to gym life. 😁

Bought a 2023 Tacoma. After getting the rearend recall fixed I got rid of it. Low power, low mileage. I kept my first Tacoma for over 180,000 miles and 17 years. I will not buy another.
