Alpo
There is a novel. I MARRIED A DEAD MAN. Title got my attention. So I'm reading the synopsis. We have an unwed mother-to-be. She's on a train. She meets a couple, the wife of which is also pregnant. They become friends. The couple is on their way to visit his parents, who have never met the wife. The wife lets the other girl try on her wedding ring. Then there's a train wreck, and the couple are killed. The husband's rich parents think that the girl is their dead son's widow, and take her to their mansion. Everything appears to be going swimmingly for her, until her ex-lover shows up to blackmail her. This actually seemed like a viable plot. Except for the part about the wife letting the girl she just met try on her wedding ring. I don't wear jewelry of any sort, but if I did, I wouldn't let somebody try it on. And even if I was the type that would let somebody try on my bracelet or my necklace or my wrist watch, I certainly wouldn't let them try on my wedding ring. Does that seem strange to anyone else? Father Kit Cool Gun Garth
I am not a jewelry person. What little jewelry I do wear on a regular basis consists of my wedding band and a gold necklace with a cross on it. Neither have left being worn unless for medical reasons. So the answer for me would be a definitive
Pat Riot
I don’t think I would. I stopped wearing a wedding band years ago due to the hazards associated with wearing a ring and working in a possibly dangerous environment. Also donning and removing gloves poses a risk of losing one’s ring. But, after saying all thst, No. I would not let someone else wear my wedding ring. That ring was given to me by my wife as we said our vows. It is our symbol of unity.

Only if they are going to accept all the responsibility that goes with it. LOL TM

Doc Neeley
It was a movie with Rikki Lake as the girl. I lost 60 lbs due to health reasons and my ring kept falling off, so I took it off and put it in a little dish on the nightstand. My wife was having the house remodeled and the ring went missing. I have a new one, but it's not the one from the day. I never take the new one off now.
Eyesa Horg
Mine is locked in my safe since it wanted to tear my finger off climbing down off a bucket truck.
MizPete
I have more than one wedding set. They are all gifted/inherited, from his family & mine. I might let somebody (not just anybody) try one on but they'd have to give it right back.
bgavin
My original ring had sharp edges on both sides and was constantly cutting my finger, so I kept taking it off. This did not sit well with my bride. On a business trip to FL, I happened into an estate sale, and found a plain gold band that fit perfectly. At that time, it was well over 75 years old, so now 120+ years old, and still on my finger. Calamity Kris
No. Mine was designed by Uno. Other than being locked in the safe when I have medical procedures and need to take it off, it's never off my hand.
Perro Del Diablo
I sold mine 15 years ago for scrap. Didn't get anywhere near what I paid almost 30 years ago.
