Rye Miles #13621
JD Vance said they found 19 loaded handguns hidden around the house after his Mamaw passed away. She couldn’t get around very well. Mamaw wasn’t fooling around when it came to protecting herself! I only have 6!!!😄

Pat Riot
My Nanny was mad dog mean if you riled her. She always seemed to have these sticks that would appear from nowhere when someone ticked her off and she would use ‘em too. My old man made her mad one day. She said “Get out!”. He didn’t move. “Poof!” Out comes a stick. I think she hit him at least 10 times on his way out. He deserved more. Once, a salesman that she invited in made her mad. He was a fake “Coat of Arms” salesman and she figured him out. I knew it was all fake. (Laborer type families from Europe didn’t have coats of arms when they emigrated to America.) She told him to get out. He smiled and told her he wasn’t leaving until she “heard him out.” She heard him out, all right. She heard him outside whining that she was a crazy woman and he was going to see a doctor because of the lumps on his head. The police came to talk to her then left grinning after she told her side. Never mess with Memaws, Grannies, Nannies, Grammas, Grandmas or any white haired lady with a glint in her eye.

When I was about 15 we got into an argument and she didn’t like my tone. Out cane the wooden spoon. She broke it on me and I laughed. She then threw a cup of pudding at me! She missed but I had to clean it up!

(Laborer type families from Europe didn’t have coats of arms Arms belong to an individual, not a family. There Might be a couple of exceptions, But 99 44/100+ are personal or civic - which is still a single entity- not surname. I used to hit the Family Coats of Arms booths at Highland Games to read over their material and listen to how they tried to answer questions about "My grandfather had this ring with a family crest...." then show the person working at the booth how to use Papworth's Ordinary of Arms and Rietstap's Armorial Général. Followed by, "Ya know, there really isn't any such thing as family coats of arms...."

I also have strategically placed knives in every room. No sense in harming my hearing more than I have to. Fun fact I learned in one of my CCW training classes. Not sure if it’s valid but it makes sense. 80% of all people shot live. 80% of all people stabbed/sliced don’t My knives are near my guns. I would grab both because I watched The Untouchables too. (Assuming the criminal element here.) Stabbed in the home may very well have been done with the largest knife in the kitchen. I mean, why not grab the largest? A large kitchen knife will make a huge bleeding wound, deep or slashed. A 9mm hole, not so much. Now a 44 mag hole, well... 😀

I told a cop that after I got pulled over (they were stopping all white sedans because of a little girl being thrown into a trunk of one. It wasn't me.) and I presented my driver's license and CCW card. He thanked me and asked why I showed him the CCW card. I told him I did because I didn't want any surprises. He thanked me saying "Neither do I." His radio let him know that the search was over and he asked me about my SASS decal and we got to talking. He said I didn't have to answer but did I have a gun in the car. I told him I usually carry a few and he laughed and asked if I was afraid of something. I told him "only rust and left wing politicians." (Not an original line. I think I read it here in the Saloon.) We've gone shooting together a few times since then. I'm still trying to get him to join SASS.
