They may be stuck with Harris. If it's not her they are admitting she was just there because of race/gender.

Well, she did win the talent contest to kick off her political career in ca!:P

Well... if her party has a collective mind, they might consider Wes Moore, the governor of Maryland.

Certainly not an endorsement, but if they brought him out they just might have a horse race.  But then, there's that "collective mind" thing... I just can't see them nominating a relatively moderate candidate who's a former 82nd Airborne captain.

The problem with Biden stepping down and the party not choosing Harris is one of campaign funds.  The huge chest of money that has been raised for the Biden Harris campaign cannot just be given to another candidate. There are a lot of FEC rules that have to be followed.

:lol:The problem will be GETTING them to follow the FEC rules. I have every confidence that they already have a plan to use the money already raised. IF, and that's a BIG if, there were be any accusation of any wrongdoing, an investigation, were there to BE one, would almost certainly be done by them on themselves. And since they've never found THEMSELVES guilty of anything, they'll get by with it. Heck, they'll probably try to charge Trump with it.

It does.  Absolutely not relevant to the topic... but an interesting, interactive reloading tool nevertheless.  :)

Serendipitous!  Like looking in a plot of grass for a dropped quarter and finding a cool Swiss Army Knife.

They are really trying to push that the shooter searched multiple politicians and that Trump just happened to be his first opportunity.  If all of the information they've released, factual or not, was the same but the attempt was made against Biden, who thinks they would still report in the same manner, that it just happened to be Biden?

What I read was he was registered Republican at the local level but at national level he was registered as a Democrat.  More I thought about it the less sense it made but I couldn’t retrace to find where I read it.

Fox reported he was registered as a Republican and voted in the state elections in 2022. No clue how he voted but he gave $15 to a lefty group not long ago. He wasn’t old enough to vote in the national election.

I know several people who are registered as a Democrat even though they are staunch Republicans. They register Democrat so they can vote in the Democratic Primary. I don't get the logic but it's their vote.

They hold closed primaries in Florida so that only registered Democrats can vote in the Dem primary and Republicans can only vote in the Rep primary. Independents are SOL and can't vote in the primaries.

The logic explained to me is that they’ll vote in a contested Democrat primary in an effort to elect the Democrat perceived to be the most vulnerable to the Republican candidate in the general election.

Yeah, I've heard their "logic". May make sense to them...not me.

that is the crux of the matter isnt it ? that and he has a lock on delegates so far , isnt it interesting they campaign on some attack on democracy and at the same time they are attacking democracy at every turn , im looking to see how we stop the ballot stuffing this time around , oh and ive not even mentioned all the illegals voting here under our motor voter registration - issuances of  drivers licenses to all and the waiver of needing to speak/read/write english to vote ...just need a handler to interpret that document and tell you where to mark it , and yes its happening here already

Looks to me like he tried to vote in the upcoming election! By the Grace of God, his vote wasn't counted! But there is some question about some encrypted foreign accounts he is alleged to have had in several European countries.  I am NOT generally a conspiracy theorist, but...

Regardless, there is at least one person in DC who ought to be walkin' down the road takin' to themselves! You know, a number of military commanders have been relieved because of "loss of confidence in their ability to command! Seems to me, that ought to apply here!

It’s crazy-he flew a drone to survey the area that day undetected. He meandered around ranging the stage and it was dismissed. He went over/around fences and climbed up onto a roof in plain site, to which spectators had to point out, which was responded to with confusion and uncertainty. All of these physical barriers, of which, later baffled the professionals on site as to how to overcome. Their greatest barrier was obviously mental.

They were outraged by claims that Trump was denied extra protection and repeatedly said this was just another conspiracy  theory by right wingers. Now they sre admitting that they have been refusing additional protection all along. But they also claimed that there was extra security because of Iranian threats then said they were too shorthanded to provide extra security. They can't keep their lies straight.

Who will Kamala pick as her Life Insurance Policy. She was Biden's, just as he was Obama's. It's gonna be tough to find someone who is more incompetent...

I still predict her choice or the Dem's choice will be Michelle Obama.

Honestly curious on the process here:  Biden won delegates in the primaries.  he drops out doesn't the no.2 primary winner have the most delegates going into the D N convention? Was she even on the primary tickets for president?

I mean if he dies she gets the office but if he withdraws she doesn't automatically get the nod for candidate.

For a party so hell bent on saving democracy, they sure are going a long way around it to "save" democracy. Democratically cast votes are out the window, just the voices of carefully selected delegates are empowered now- which the populace had no part in selecting, and has no part in directing.

They squeezed RFK Jr out of the party with their silly inconsistent and ever changing rules (super delegates they came up with years ago to eliminate Bernie and other competitors from having a competitive chance, yet they hate the electoral college). It is all rigged and orchestrated.  When they say government, law and the constitution are all living, breathing, evolving, this is what they mean- able to be manipulated to their purposes and ends at any convenient moment. Just sayin'.
