It has the 26" full octagon barrel. I will post a lot of photos for the very best description. This exquisite rifle is in pristine condition. I have test fired it only after receiving it back from Turnbull Restoration and it functioned perfectly, This rifle was made in 2004. I purchased it NIB in January 2021 and then shipped it to Turnbull Restoration for their Winchester 1886 Safety Conversion for new rifle> Remove tang safety. Convert Hammer and firing pin to traditional half-notch safety system, Drill and tap for tang sight. Strip all metal finishes. Rust Blue barrel & magtube. Color case harden receiver, lever, hammer, forend cap & crescent butt plate. Carbona Charcoal Blue trim, sights & screws. Refinish stocks with Red Oil Finish. Checker buttstock & forend Winchester H pattern, 22 LPI. Oil, grease, reassemble. This was an 18-month process. An exquisite rifle that is in pristine condition worthy to be included in any collection! I'm told by the folks at Turnbull that this rifle is fully capable of smokeless loads.
