Pee Wee #15785 Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Is there someone who shoots a Armi San Paulo 73, I have a question. Is there a place to get good replacement screws? Is it posable to get a blue print/s showing screw sizes and types? What is one worth that has been used?
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Armi San Paulo 73s are very scarce. No parts and have not been imported for many years. If i remember correctly Armi San Paulo was also known as Euroarms. Here is a little squib on them from an OLD thread from CAS City. Long Johns Wolf is from Germany. They were made till the end of the 1990s in 19" carbine - round Barrel - and 24" rifle - octagon barrel - configuration, in .44-40 and .357 cal. A few could be had tastfully factory engraved with blue/case color finish but most were just blued. Function and quality is comparable to contemporary Ubertis ... which implies a work-over is required for cowboying. The initiates consider their specs. closer to the 19th century orginals than the Ubertis. Spares can be difficult to find. Mine is a carbine S/N 79X from 1982. Long Johns Wolf As far as value is concerned they seldom come up for sale so it is hard to tell. Personally I would put them in the same category as a Chaparral. An interesting oddity and worth less than a Uberti.
Kid Rich Posted July 8, 2024 Posted July 8, 2024 Ace Hardware usually has screws for guns in just about all sizes and shapes. kR
Pee Wee #15785 Posted July 9, 2024 Author Posted July 9, 2024 There are several non-standed screws with bearing surfaces and I can't find them. Ace gave a few but not all.
Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted July 9, 2024 Posted July 9, 2024 Can you provide a photo of a sample screw and describe the problem? You might need to invest in a couple of screw gauges and might need to consider repairing the existing screws.
