mean gun mark Posted July 1 Share Posted July 1 I have been given sad news that this morning we have lost our dear friend and cowgirl Vix-n. Please keep Blue eyed drifter in your thoughts and prayers for comfort and healing during such a sudden loss. I was so proud to nominate and present them both with their regulator badges at last years Ohio state match, an honor which they both justly deserved. I spoke with Carl this morning and as expected he is heartbroken and lost. Many of you have shot with them as they traveled together quite often, we have often traveled with them and shared house while at a lot of big matches. I reminded Carl that he has a cowboy family behind him to help him thru this. He asked that, per her request that when she passed that everyone should have a toast in her honor, so what I am suggesting that at 8:30 pm et, this evening that we all join together to do just that. Pour yourself a drink of your choice (she was a bourbon kind of girl). And join me in a toast to our cowgirl' we are all better off knowing her and being with her. Schwaby was looking forward to swapping moonshine making recipes and stories with her at GOA (a new hobby they both just started). We will sorely miss her and our thoughts and prayers go out to Carl and the rest of the family. We will all lift a glass of apple pie shine in her memory. We participated in the Ohio State shoot this year and had a chance to join in the fun she brought to the match with side events. What a Hoot. She and Blue brought an energy and light-hearted fun to the weekend. People laughing, competing, thoroughly enjoying themselves trying to compete AND perform. Shooting a Sasquatch chasing a cowboy down a ramp while sitting on a Unicorn? Team alternate timed shooting while snuggled up back to back in a Hula Hoop and spinning around? They really brought it and added to what was already a fun match. Took it to a different level. Her spirit and enthusiasm were apparent and infectious even to us Noob's.
