Ordered a couple of sizes larger and tried it on. Almost usable around my bowling pin shaped physique as a little extra material to flap in the wind is no big deal. BUT the sleeves were way to long. Washed and ran in the dryer for 40 minutes on delicate. Fits about right and the sleeves are now OK. If I do not chicken out or get heat stroke before Sunday I will try it out at Cowtown this weekend. Hang it outside, it'll dry faster....
Silver Creek Jack Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Ok, I ordered one of the shirts it got here two days later, who knew china was so close? Like Larsons it fit well but the sleeves were a bit long so into the washer set on delicate, out and in to the drier set on low heat, came out a perfect fit, wore it today to a one day shoot at the great Lincoln County Cowboys range in Cushing okla. with the temp at 90 deg. and about 80% humidity, the shirt was really cool! It is 95% cotton and 5% hemp, no I didn’t try to roll up a piece of the tail to see if I could get a buzz!! A little sweat and it wicked it away and was very nice to wear. 100% sold, ordered 3 more this evening different colors. It does have a button on each sleeve up about the bicep so one could roll up the sleeve and hold it there with the button ,I took those off and was very happy with the cowboy look of the shirt.

Larsen E. Pettifogger, SASS #32933 Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 Bit the bullet this morning and went to a match at Cowtown to test the Chicom all cotton Henley shirt. Last night's late night news report said it might hit 120 today but we were going to start at 8:00 and only shoot four stages. It was 115 but overcast for the first two stages. But it only felt like 114 to me. The sun was out in full for the second two stages so it felt like 116. So I would say it was a wash so too speak. It did feel a lot better than anything made out of synthetic fibers. I will definitely state it would feel cooler than a black flannel shirt.

Rather pricey but they hold up well. https://www.duluthtrading.com/s/DTC/mens-armachillo-relaxed-fit-long-sleeve-shirt-60488.html?color=NEX I’ll second Sedalia Dave’s recommendation for Duluth Trading Company. I’m a big & tall guy and Duluth Trading Company is my go to but I hadn’t tried their armachillo shirts until I saw Dave’s post. Really lightweight and full cut.
