Blackhawk Bantry
I just wanted to double check, I got a hold of a bunch of boxes of this French shotgun ammo and I just wanted to make sure it's ok to use in cas competition. Pellet size seems to be 2.75 mm (size 6, 0.11 inches) and the load weight is 32 grams (1 1/8 oz). Edited June 28 by Blackhawk Bantry
H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619
Sounds okay. The shot is small enough and the weight of the load, while heavy, is acceptable. I'd only be concerned about how much recoil it has. These look like pretty decent hunting loads, and would probably be "overkill." Edited June 28 by H. K. The added recoil is gonna have to be my problem, I just wanna make sure that they're safe.
The Rainmaker, SASS #11631
Probably depends on local range rules; ours is 7 1/2 or smaller. No good for us. And, as mentioned, overkill for CAS. 1
Badlands Bob #61228
6 shot would be too large for our club too. We require 7 1/2 shot or smaller. But that's a local club rule which is more restrictive that what SASS requires. 1
Barry Sloe
Is it lead shot? I took a look at the package and didn't see an identifier. BS

Tex Jones, SASS 2263
Heja, Sverige. It depends, in part, on how close the targets are. With #6 pellets there will be a lot of bounce back and risk of injury if the targets are too close. Is the velocity listed? More than 1,145 fps (350 m/s ) is usually too much. LykaTill! Garrison Joe, SASS #60708
And, shot size of # 6 is too large to use on most organized shotgun clay target ranges (trap, skeet or sporting clays). 7.5 is usually the top shot size limit there, too. good luck, good shooting. Edward R S Canby, SASS#59971
As others have stated, these are game loads and not intended for shooting clays. They are legal for CAS. I keep a few on my shotgun belt to knock down targets that are out of calibration and need to be hit extra hard. However, I never shoot them at targets above ground level as the shot would travel too far and be hazardous.
Cholla
Hopefully, you have good dental insurance because the recoil will loosen your teeth. 1

Rance - SASS # 54090
I noticed the shell has steel instead of brass on the primer end of it.. Sometimes the steel expands more than brass and makes them more difficult to shuck out of a SxS shotgun after firing.. Just sumthin’ to watch for if yer using a SxS.. Heh heh. Although I am normally a 97 guy, and occasionally an 87, I do once in a while use my Parker. If I get a stubborn target while using it, I just give it both barrels. That's a little extreme, but oddly fun.
