Wild Pike, SASS # 31760
Does anyone know who manufactured or retailed this main spring? I purchased these main springs for my SA Colts many years ago and just wondering if these are still available somewhere? As you can see in attached photo they have this particular stamp at bottom of main spring. I would appreciate any assistance. Thanks in advance Wild Pike Edited June 26 by Wild Pike, SASS # 31760
Ambush
His name slips my memory at the moment. He was from Rockford. I have been advised he has since passed away. He sold those springs at CAS matches in northern Illinois. I recall meeting him at shoots in Sycamore. Hope this helps...

Wild Pike, SASS # 31760
Thank you Ambush for the information. Sorry to hear that Floyd Hanson passed away. That makes sense that he was from the Rockford area. Back in the 90's I did a few shoots at the Rockford Location, if I remember right it was kind of a neat shoot it was held at an old quarry. Just putting the word out there if anyone has one or two of these springs sitting around I would be interested in them. Thanks for the help. Ambush
Good morning Wild Pike, Some additional information: One of Floyd Hanson's customers was Eddie Janis of Peacemaker Specialists. Unfortunately, Eddie has gone on ahead. However, his website is still operational and Parts are listed. Perhaps a phone call may be worth a try. Good luck, Ambush
Maddog McCoy SASS #5672
I had been to Floyd's house several times and he was in bad shape the last time I saw him. (10+ years ago)( he died in 2018) He started by making springs for fast draw and had extra light, light and medium springs. I still have some of his springs and they are working well. The last time I was there, I bought several pairs and might have a extra pair of them, I will have to look. I know one other shooter that used his springs and had some extra's, but he quit shooting cowboy and I could check with him if I can find his number.
