Abilene, SASS # 27489
Black Hills Ammo also makes 44 special, but all their ammo is quite pricey! Georgia Arms https://www.georgia-arms.com/cowboy-loads-sass/ also loads 44 special but also more expensive than Choice Ammo.
H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619
I have not bought any in a long time, but... https://www.targetsportsusa.com/winchester-usa-cowboy-ammo-44-special-240-grain-lead-flat-nose-ammunition-p-1929.aspx It seems that it no longer comes in the more old fashioned box it used to come in. But that being said, although it's the marked "Cowboy" when I bought some 15 years ago, it was not a very mild load. It seemed to be "full power" .44 Special. It seemed like the only thing "Cowboy" about it is the lead RNFP bullet. But maybe the stuff out today is milder. On the other hand... https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1018135629?pid=552914 This stuff is pretty mild, and a little less expensive. Uses Starline Brass. Their .44 Magnum ammo was absolutely a reduced load compared to "full power" .44 Magnum, and these Specials are not as hot as I remember the Winchester .44's being. I have deliberately only shown examples of ammo I've actually purchased. Edited June 19 by H. K. Uriah, SASS #74619

Rooster Ron Wayne
For the price of 44 Special ammo . You should cut your loss right off the bat and buy some reloading equipment and start loading your own. Just Sayin. Rooster
DeaconKC
Rooster does have a good point. I reload 44 Special for my S&Ws and it costs me a little less than $15 a box of 50. Considering that it is hard to find loaded ammo for less than $45 a box, reloading will repay your initial investment quickly. We sell the Lee 4 Hole Turret starter kit for $315 without dies. That is about 7 loaded boxes of ammo. Get the stuff from Choice and hoard your brass. [They use Starline, so it's good stuff] Get that 250 round bag of ammo from Choice, watch for some used carbide dies and find a local bullet caster. Reloading is simple, just pay attention. Maddog McCoy SASS #5672
I get 44 160 grain Bullets from Storm Reins Bullets in Tyler Texas. I can pm you his number if you like. Edited June 23 by Maddog McCoy SASS #5672
Vail Vigilante
Once you get familiar with basic reloading on the Lee, you can add a powered trimmer to your bench. Then you can do things like make 44 Spec out of 44 Mag.
