just because it’s cool is ok, but is there a use for gold stamper?

With a little modification on the anvil to give it a trough, wouldn't it make a nice pepper mill for the dining table?

VERY nice Buckshot!

I'm impressed with not only your friend's skill and talent, but also your collection of interesting steam engines......

Unfortunately, I have no talent in building such amazing things....I'm just good manual labor......

But the water to make the steam is heated by burners that aren't fueled by steam.

I suspect that the burners are fueled by alcohol.

Could be, but I know it's not gasoline and probably not a gas/oil mix of any kind.

Methylated Spirits (Denatured Alcohol with a bitterent(sp) added to it, but alco's will still mix it with orange juice and try and drink it) or shortened to 'metho' down here.

I think television is causing the homogenisation.  (Note the Brit spelling, that wasn’t caused by tv.)
