Homemade Steam Engine & Gold Stamper

This is a homemade Steam Engine and Gold Stamper made by a friend of mine for me Trevor Woolan late of Victoria, Australia.

just because it’s cool is ok, but is there a use for gold stamper?

With a little modification on the anvil to give it a trough, wouldn't it make a nice pepper mill for the dining table?

Is the fuel straight gasoline or a gas/oil(2 stroke) mix?

But the water to make the steam is heated by burners that aren't fueled by steam. 

 

I suspect that the burners are fueled by alcohol.

Could be, but I know it's not gasoline and probably not a gas/oil mix of any kind.

Methylated Spirits (Denatured Alcohol with a bitterent(sp) added to it, but alco's will still mix it with orange juice and try and drink it) or shortened to 'metho' down here.

No one has picked up on the two cut down .308 cases that the wicks are in yet.

I think television is causing the homogenisation.  (Note the Brit spelling, that wasn’t caused by tv.)
