Can't figure out how to attach pictures to PM's

Recommended Posts

If you figure it out let me know.  I have never been able to attach a photo to a PM.  I usually send a PM and tell the person to send me an email.  Then I attach the photos to the email.

I just sent you a pic by PM, using the URL button. If you get it, I will post instructions.

What I do not see is how to include a pic of of my local machine.

John,  got the picture. Local machine picture is what I was hoping to do.

We cannot upload photos from our devices straight to the server.   You can post pictures from a photo-hosting site like Photobucket.  Or, you can post a link if you have it somewhere like FB.

For some reason it doesn't always work, but on my PC if I download a picture from Google photos to the desktop, I can copy and paste it to a PM. Haven't found a way on my phone.

I went to "my attachments". Pulled up the picture. Pressed on it (on tablet, no mouse) and list of options came up. I picked the last one, "copy link".  Then went to make a message and pasted it in message.  Looked like it worked.

Hmm, thinking...

Trying something..

Nope, that did not work. My idea was to upload an image for a post, but then not include it in the post. Even though I did not insert it, it still shows up in this post. Was hoping it would not post but still end up in my "library."
