So unrealistic, not one nonna from Italy, or even Brooklyn or Philadelphia.

I looked up restaurants in Staten Island, the best ones seem to be Italian, 7 of the top ten, and most of the top 25.  Of course there’s the possibility that the pollster was biased.   )))

For 54 years I have begged my wife to try to burn me out on Italian food.

Hasn't happened yet.

No, she's Irish.

Yep, and so do all Jews, Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, and lawyers, taxi drivers, school teachers, cops and dentists.

Yeah!   RIGHT!

That’s what you have to watch for cause you just know they all have one.

True!  My mom was half Italian and anything in the kitchen could be used to teach a lesson or make a point, adjust an attitude or get someone's attention, or dozens of other things.

They could also be used for cooking, serving, or cleaning up.  :o

That's a good question.

My kids had three grandmothers, because their mother was divorced. So they had their mother's mother, and their father's mother, and my mother. Three grandmothers.

But to have 10 grandmothers - that would take being divorced and remarried a whole lot. And since Italians are  frequently Catholic, they tend to frown on divorce.

If I somehow got kicked out of this country the only other country I would want to live in would be Italy. Love the people and the food.
It’s my favorite place out of all the countries I have been to outside the USA.

I love Italian food. Love it! Love it! Love it!

But...but ...but   Who has 10 Italian Grandmothers?

Imis

Almost any Italian kid whose parents are Mormons.  Big close knit families and whichever grandmother was nearby would take the grandmother role on whichever kid needed "adjusting"......and if you sassed one they would target you for more "adjusting" as the day went by.

Family get togethers were always run that way.
